Privacy, kept straightforward.
This page explains how the website itself works and how to contact us about your information.
Who to contact
Elliot Web Designs is based in Romford, Essex. For privacy questions, contact Sean at sean@elliotwebdesigns.co.uk.
The enquiry form
When you select “Send enquiry”, your name, email address, optional website and message are sent securely to our hosting and emailed to Sean. We use these details to respond to your request. The form does not add you to a marketing list. Please leave out confidential information.
Our email handler keeps temporary request counters and hashed references to prevent spam and duplicate submissions. It does not save the content of your enquiry in the website database. Your enquiry is retained in our business email for handling your request.
Email enquiries
If you email us, we receive the contact details and message you choose to send. We use that information to respond and discuss the work you have requested. Please do not include sensitive or confidential material in an initial enquiry.
The guided project assistant
The assistant uses prewritten guidance and choices. It does not use an AI service or send chat messages to a server. It keeps a temporary conversation draft in this browser tab so you can explore other pages and return to it. Use “Start again” and “Clear draft” to remove it. If browser storage is unavailable, the draft lasts only on the current page.
Name, email and website fields entered in the assistant’s enquiry form are held on the current page and are not saved to browser storage. Only the enquiry you review is sent when you select “Send enquiry”; the full chat is not sent. Please leave confidential details out of the conversation and initial brief.
Analytics and your cookie choice
On our public website, Google Analytics 4 loads only if you accept analytics cookies. It helps us understand visits, pages viewed and successful enquiries. We send whether an enquiry came from the contact form or the guided assistant, but never its message, name, email address or website field. We exclude URL query strings and fragments from the page addresses we send.
Rejecting analytics does not affect the website or enquiry form. Your choice is stored on this device for up to 180 days. If accepted, Google uses cookies beginning with _ga to distinguish visits, with a maximum lifetime of 180 days in our configuration. Google also processes technical information such as browser, device and approximate location to provide reports. We do not enable Google Signals, advertising cookies or advertising personalisation.
Use “Cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting analytics stops future measurement on this browser and removes its accessible Analytics cookies; it does not erase reports already collected. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Read more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Website hosting
The service hosting the website may process technical request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it. A private preview may also use its provider’s sign-in system.
Other websites and applications
Portfolio links take you to client websites, and email links open your chosen email application. Those services have their own privacy arrangements.
Questions about your information
Contact us if you want to ask about information you have sent, request a correction or discuss its removal. We can explain any records connected to an ongoing project when you get in touch.
