RECOGNISE THE FEELING?

When the website stops keeping up.

A redesign is an opportunity to improve the whole experience: what people see, what they understand and what they do next.

01 /

The work is better than the website

Your portfolio has moved on, but the site still shows an earlier version of the business.

02 /

The offer is hard to understand

Important services are buried, and enquiries arrive with the same unanswered questions.

03 /

The technology gets in the way

Editing is frustrating, mobile pages feel awkward or the site needs a clearer maintenance plan.

Start by understanding the existing site.

Before a layout changes, we review the website you already have. Which services matter most? Which pages receive useful visits? What do customers ask after reading them? Available analytics, search reports and your own experience can help identify the right priorities.

We also look at the content and imagery. Real projects, useful articles and a recognisable identity may be valuable parts of the next website. A redesign should make that material easier to use and give it the presentation it deserves.

Make the content part of the design.

A striking homepage needs supporting pages with substance. We plan service explanations, case studies, founder or team information and useful answers together. The structure should help a visitor understand your offer without needing a guided tour.

This is also the time to improve navigation and enquiry journeys. A clearer form, more relevant project examples or a better explanation of what happens next may be as valuable as a new visual style.

Choose the platform around your working day.

You may be happy with WordPress and want a better design. You may prefer a simpler static website with developer-managed updates. Or you may need a more structured publishing system for regular content. We discuss who makes changes, how often and what the site needs to connect to.

The right choice takes ongoing work into account. Hosting, editing, software updates and future additions should all be understandable before the new site goes live.

Plan the handover from old to new.

We map important existing URLs to their new destinations where appropriate and define a launch sequence. Hosting access, domain settings and email arrangements need to be understood before the switch. The old site should have a recoverable backup.

After launch, the work shifts to checking the live pages and enquiry routes, watching for problems and making sure you understand the editing and support arrangements. An agreed care plan can keep that attention going as your business develops.
